Director, Young SKAL Thailand
Sawadee Krub, Hello and Aloha!
Thanks for visiting the Young SKAL Thailand (YST) page. Young SKAL Thailand is a club for 20 to 30 year old students studying tourism or young professionals working in the tourism industry. We are part of SKAL International and operate under the auspices of SKAL Bangkok. You may know that SKAL is the world’s largest organization for tourism professionals and that the SKAL Bangkok club was founded over 50 years ago but I would like to tell you how our Young SKAL Thailand club differs from other organizations you may have joined or are thinking of joining. YST focuses on your professional development. We want you to recognize and take advantage of the exciting and life changing opportunities available to you at this early stage in your career.
Membership in Young SKAL gives you access to the VIP’s in the travel and tourism industry locally, regionally and globally. I’m happy to see YST members already putting their contacts to use... finding creative internships that offer real professional development, new job offers all over the world, and lots of other benefits that come from networking with others.
Annual membership in Young SKAL Thailand is only 1,000 baht and the benefits are many. In addition to the networking opportunities, YST members receive invitations to all SKAL Bangkok functions (ie. SKAL Bkk lunch the first Tuesday of every month). Many of these events are sponsored by SKAL members and are of no cost to YST members.
Please take advantage of this opportunity to advance your professional goals. Skalleagues are looking for the future leaders and I know you’ll be surprised at the opportunities that will present themselves, if you make yourself available. If you are qualified (20-30 years old studying or working in the tourism industry) and share the SKAL values of “Happiness, Good Health, Friendship, Long Life” I highly recommend you come to the next SKAL event and see what we are about.
